Julie Richoz (b. 1990) is a Swiss-French designer based in Paris. After graduating from ÉCAL / University of Art and Design (Lausanne, Switzerland) in 2012, she worked as a project assistant for Pierre Charpin between 2013 and 2015. Her professional path includes participation in prestigious artist residencies such as CIRVA – the International Centre for Research on Glass and Visual Arts in Marseille, Sèvres – Cité de la Céramique, and Casa Wabi in Mexico.
In 2015 she founded her own studio in Paris, where she develops projects in the field of product design, creating unique objects, furniture, lighting, and textiles. Her works are characterized by playful minimalism, combined with a high degree of precision and masterful attention to materials.
Her contribution to contemporary design has been recognized with numerous international awards, including the Grand Prix at Design Parade (2012), the Swiss Design Awards (2015, 2019), the Leenaards Foundation grant (2016), and the Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris (2023).
Her clients include leading names such as Hay, Tectona, Louis Vuitton, La Manufacture de Cogolin, Mattiazzi, and Galerie Kreo. Since 2017, Richoz has been teaching industrial design at ÉCAL in Lausanne.
