Thélonious Goupil

Thélonious Goupil is a French industrial designer based in Paris. His work explores the relationship between objects, their surroundings and the way we live, seeking solutions that respond to real needs and contemporary challenges.

His practice spans product, interior and exhibition design, as well as book design. He creates sustainable and intuitive objects independently and in collaboration with manufacturers such as Vitra, Iittala and Lehni.

After graduating with honours from ENSCI–Les Ateliers in Paris in 2016, Goupil worked at Ransmeier Inc. and Jasper Morrison Ltd., where he developed his interest in ordinary objects and their place in everyday life. He founded his own studio in 2018, and his projects have since been presented in numerous international exhibitions.

His curiosity about everyday objects also finds expression in Collections Typologie – an independent project he co-founded to explore the history, typologies and cultural significance of industrial objects.

*Thélonious Goupil’s participation is supported by the Embassy of the French Republic and the French Institute in Sofia.
