Zagreb Design Week is taking part at MELBA Design Festival with an exhibition-review of the best of contemporary Croatian design for the last decade. Over the past ten years, this field has developed more than ever. Furniture companies provide the best quality wood while designers create internationally awarded furniture. Numerous self-initiated projects turned into start-up brands for fashion, jewelry, lighting, home accessories, toys, etc.

Since the exhibition takes place within Melba Design Festival, the curatorial concept is to present products not yet available on the Bulgarian market. Twenty-one exhibitors are carefully selected to offer a fascinating glimpse into the vibrant and dynamic world of Croatian design. Each piece displays a unique creative process, reflecting individual vision.

Festival Zagreb Design Week is the largest design event in Croatia. Launched a decade ago just celebrated a jubilee with a special edition in September 2023. The exhibition Croatian Design X arrives in Sofia as part of the MELBA design festival, after the exhibition LOCAL BEAUTY. Review of Bulgarian Design 2022 by Komplekt was showcased at the tenth, jubilee edition of Zagreb Design Week (26.9. – 1.10.2023).
