Coin Series
Studio Tash explores the chushkopek-a Bulgarian pepper roaster—as a tool for experimentation and transformation. Without altering its form, they test its potential to reach extreme temperatures, using it as a small-scale kiln for metals and other materials. The resulting Coin Series consists of alloys, casts, and tools that document their process. Through these handmade coins, Margarita and Marta reveal the object’s hidden multifunctionality while reflecting on value, memory, and the symbols of Bulgarian culture.
