Dora Ivanova

Dora Ivanova is an illustrator and graphic designer with a weakness for collage technique. She has extensive experience in graphic design, illustration and preparing products for print. In the last few years she has been fully committed to book illustration. She often says that the approach boils down to “symbolist literalism” (not to be confused with “literal symbolism”).

The digitally created original uses textures from various digital and print techniques from different eras. An original transformation continues its journey, modifying itself to the requirements of different print types, playing with textures and colours. The layers come together, only to split again – in preparation for their use as different colours, on different materials, bringing in the depth of their own textures.
