Pepper-holder Lamp
Denitsa responded to the invitation to work on the chushkopek theme out of a desire to learn more about the making process behind one of the most iconic objects in the history of Bulgarian industrial design. Her first instinct was to explore the original form of the chushkopek—a large cylinder concealing a smaller one inside. She investigates how the appliance would look and transform if illuminated from within. Denitsa crafted her lamp from corn-based bioplastic using additive 3D printing technology. An interesting detail is that the lamps can be easily disassembled and recycled at the end of their life cycle.
