The festival blends various design perspectives into a diverse range of creative activities. It is an integral part of MELBA, a series of design initiatives launched by Komplekt at the end of 2017. This platform is truly unique, boasting a vibrant community and meticulously curated content, including an online bilingual archive of contemporary Bulgarian designers, periodic in-person gatherings, a school offering classes to acquire various skills, and an annual festival. Over the course of five successful editions in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 и 2022, the festival has effectively showcased the potential of design, fostered collaborations, drawn from valuable international experiences, and provided a platform for local artists to shine on the global stage.
